The house

Made for a week, or a season.

Bubu sits at 43 Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong: a low Balinese house with cream walls, terracotta roofs, and rooms that open onto the garden. Guests come for the surf, then stay because the courtyard stays quiet after the street.

Each room is a simple double — queen bed, desk, wardrobe, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Terraces face the garden or the pool. The house is non-smoking, pets stay home, and it is looked after by a private host.
